Bhubaneswar/Nuapada, 08th October 2025 : The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has constituted a set of committees to spearhead its campaign for the upcoming Nuapada Assembly by-election. Senior party leaders have been assigned key roles to strengthen the party’s organisational presence and voter outreach in the district.
According to a party communiqué, the BJD has formed three committees — a steering committee, a zonal committee, and a local action committee — to oversee different aspects of the campaign.
The steering committee, comprising six senior leaders including former ministers, MLAs, and a Rajya Sabha member, will guide the overall election strategy and coordinate activities across the constituency.
The zonal committee, with ten members, will monitor campaign programmes across rural and urban areas of the constituency, including Nuapada, Komna, Sinapali, Jonk blocks, and the Nuapada and Khariar NACs.
In addition, a local action committee has been formed with leaders such as Adhiraj Panigrahi, Abani Joshi, and Manoj Mishra to handle booth-level management, voter outreach, and door-to-door campaigning.
Party sources said the committees aim to ensure smooth coordination among workers and a strong presence at the grassroots level ahead of the bypoll.
The Election Commission is expected to announce the bypoll schedule soon.
